Angry Violet is my name,
They shattered me,
They took my flesh,
My old self, fragmented, faded.

The first man, from Cali,
He shamed and degraded me,
With every word, he stole my pride,
The first hit woke me up.

Much older, he noticed me,
Paid attention, his gaze a trap,
In his hold, I felt my innocence,
Slip away, consumed by despair.

The second, from Highland Park,
A dark magician, cruel and sly,
He weaved his lies, his spells,
Destroyed the life I’d dared to live.

A red flag, ignored but clear,
His manipulations, his deceit,
He left me broken, filled with dread,
In the darkness, I was beaten.

The third, an Austin local,
His presence, a shadow of fear,
Controlling, isolating, and cruel,
In his grasp, I felt my doom.

His hold, a noose upon my soul,
Chaos reigned down from his throne,
Paranoia, like a tolling bell,
Brainwashed, I lost control.

Despite the charms that drew me near,
The love I thought would never end,
Their callous ways, their brutal grip,
Left me confined to eternal flight.

One by one, I made my escape,
A blend of who I was and who I became,
Decades later, jaded and weary,
Never completely whole.

In my heart, both girls remain,
Where the shadows never pale,
Angry Violet walks alone,
In the silence, I’m unchained.
